Instructions on how to duplex print multiple art boards from Photoshop. Guide prepared for Image And Design class using Photoshop 2024 printing to a Brother HL-L3290CDW series printer.

Format Photoshop document for duplex printing

1 - Open finished design document in photoshop.

2 - Add bleed by adding .25in to each edge of the design.

2.1 - Go to the menu item Image > Canvas Size

2.2 - Add .5in to width and height

  1. Make sure units are set to inches
  2. Add “ +.5 “ after the existing dimension for both width and height.
  3. Make sure the anchor is set to the center box so that the added .5in is added to all sides evenly.

2.3 - Visually confirm that .25 in has been added to each side.

3 - Add bleed

3.1 - Add a new layer under all other layers

3.2 - Using the eyedropper tool, select the dominant color around the edge of the design and fill the new layer with that color using the bucket tool.
